I am a 28 year old HAPPILY married wife to the absolute love of my life for the last almost 9 years. We both were stunt partners where we cheered at Liberty University and fell in love immediately ( <--- not at all true, but that's another story for another time :) )
After a looooooong 5 years trying to get pregnant, the Lord blessed us with a MIRACLE. Our baby boy is now 16 months old. And we just recently found out we are expecting again!!! TOTAL shocker but we are SO EXCITED!!!
My first and foremost love is to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I'm a Christ follower- and I don't know where I would be without him. For John 15:5 says, "Apart from Him, you can do nothing." And I believe that with all my heart.
I used to be a runner. In college I just loved to run. I wasn't big on a gym- just running. Even after I got married I would run to think, dream, cry, sing, plan, and whatever else I had going on in my head.
I found, however, that I hit a plateau, and I wasn't getting TONED like I wanted to. So after watching the Insanity commercial about a bajillion times on TV, I decided to order it.
Almost immediately, I found out that my stamina wasn't like it should be. I mean, I know that program is hard but I was a runner! It was HARD to keep up. But 60 days later I completed it, with a brand new toned body that I worked SO hard to get while running. And that made me a believer.
Then I got pregnant. I had a great pregnancy other than the fact that I gained 60 lbs (and I'm 5'0) AHHHH! I carried so much water weight... and it didn't help I coached competitive cheerleading till I was almost 8 months pregnant either.
So, 9 months later, I was 171 lbs on the day I gave birth. Had an awful labor, and was ready to get back to my old self again.
After the ok from the Dr, I started Insanity again. I had 30 lbs still left to lose-- and I was determined. Studies show if you don't get baby weight off within the first year- it's harder to come off.
30 days into it I posted some results on facebook. Mainly to hold myself accountable but to show people that with hard work anything can happen. I had always LOVED fitness and motivating people. It was a passion of mine so it was natural for me to post about it.
I was contacted about possibly becoming a Beachbody coach since I was a huge advocate for Insanity. I was honestly flattered because I didn't know there was such a thing, but I've loved coaching cheerleading so why not "coach" people in fitness? It also appealed to me because I couldn't take my newborn to the gym- so home fitness was perfect for me and the thought of eating a LITTLE extra money on the side really appealed to me.
I was not at my goal weight yet, but thought that if I could help inspire some moms to get started I will!!
10 months later, I'm still coaching. I've done 4 Beachbody programs and got into the best shape of my life. Compliments from my husband let me know that my hard work has paid off, and I feel so incredible in my clothes.
Not only that, this business has afforded us a lifestyle I never thought we could have. We had always planned for me to stay home with my son, but it was a sacrifice. No vacations, no eating out, no extras.
.......What kind of living is that.......?
So, my goal was just to make enough for us to have a nice dinner every once in a while. Well, we were able to do that after the first month, so my goals got bigger and so did my income. I am so thankful to say God placed this blessing straight in our lap.
We've been able to buy a Mac Book Pro with cash, pay our huge Dr. bill after pregnancy, pay our insurance on the house in cash for the next year, paid for Christmas in cash, paid for a nice vacation for our family this summer in cash... and the list goes on. Those were HUGE ones that we honestly thought 1 year ago- "how in the world are we going to pay for that?"
